This item is invaluable in Greedier Mode as nearly all of Ultra Greedier's attacks are considered explosions.This makes the item very valuable if trying to unlock The Forgotten, as it will protect Isaac from the effects of the Broken Shovel. Isaac becomes immune to Mom and Satan's stomp attacks, as they are considered explosions.Does not protect against exploding mushrooms.Bullets fired from Host Hat copy the effects of Isaac's tears.When a projectile is effectively blocked, Isaac's Host Hat will fire 3 bullets similar to the Host's. Adds a 20% chance to block projectiles.Azazel is nice for last as he is an easy and powerful character with flight and mini Brimstone. And Apollyon is great with Void as even if you get a bad passive item, you can use Void on it for some stat ups instead. I like Cain for his good luck and starting with Paper Clip for free golden chests. Isaac is great somewhere in the middle, with his D6 you can pick out some better items. I don't recommend him for anything other than first though, as sometimes he can start with a terrible setup and you'll be stuck with it. First run with Eden, you can reset until you get an amazing starting set of items. I recommend something similar to my lineup. You can use any characters you want, as long as all 5 are different. From then on, you choose a character and finish the run with whatever they give you, no more resets. I don't recommend going into boss rush, Hush, or Delirium unless you are insanely overpowered, otherwise you risk dying and losing your streak.Īfter your first win, the counter will go up on the character select screen. Alternatively, you could just ignore the photos or reroll them into something else. That way you can end your run early by just beating Satan or Isaac instead of ? or The Lamb. When you reach Mom, grab whichever photo item you want, but then after Mom's Heart, choose to take the opposite path. On your first run, you are starting at 0, so feel free to reset multiple times to get good starting items on the first floor. You CAN quit the game after winning and coming back to the main menu and continue the streak later for sure. I don't know for sure if exiting and coming back later in the middle of a run hurts it or not, so best to do it when you know you can reach the end in one sitting. If you die or reset, the win streak goes back to 0.
For example, as I did it: Eden, Isaac, Cain, Apollyon, then Azazel. This is unlocked by getting a 5 win streak, where each win is using a different character.
